Location: West Midlands Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per annum

Are you a qualified Occupational Health Advisor looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to employee health, safety and wellbeing?

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Occupational Health Advisor to join a well-established organisation based in the West Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with HR teams, line managers and Health & Safety colleagues, delivering a high-quality Occupational Health service and helping to drive a positive health and wellbeing culture across the business.

The Role

As Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring employees are fit for work, maintaining statutory health surveillance compliance and providing professional advice and support on a range of occupational health matters.

You will also contribute to the development and delivery of health promotion initiatives, supporting the organisation's commitment to a strong Safety-First culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with statutory health surveillance requirements and maintain appropriate records.
• Undertake pre-employment health screening and fitness-for-work assessments.
• Provide expert Occupational Health advice to HR teams, line managers and employees.
• Support absence management, ill-health case management and capability processes.
• Develop, coordinate and promote health and wellbeing campaigns across the business.
• Deliver health education through written guidance and employee training sessions.
• Monitor and report on health surveillance KPIs, providing regular updates to the central Health & Safety team.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Occupational Health and Health & Safety teams.
• Promote safe working practices and contribute to the organisation's wider health and safety strategy.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
• A recognised Occupational Health qualification.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of occupational health surveillance requirements.
• Experience undertaking health assessments, fitness-for-work screenings and case management.
• The ability to provide timely, professional and practical Occupational Health advice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The confidence and credibility to influence and advise managers, offering pragmatic solutions.
• A self-motivated, organised and methodical approach, with strong attention to detail and data protection.
